Program sponsorships allow a business to break away from run-of-schedule spot advertising and further refine its target audience. Here at SRG, with four different station formats, we offer a variety of programs and features with which businesses can identify. These include:

“Crew of the Week”
For 31 years, every Friday, April through October, we have teamed with business partners to provide free lunch for selected farm workers, packing shed crews and other industry workforces. “El Gallito1010” staff provides the van and on-air coverage. Together with sponsor reps, they visit the crews and distribute the food and beverages. Crews are randomly selected from those nominated by “Gallito” listeners, names having been sent in by letter or fax.

Sponsors are identified in both live and recorded on-air spots and promos. Sponsors are non-competing. Sponsor reps may be part of the on-air coverage and may distribute fliers, merchandise, etc. to promote business.

“De Profesionales”
This is a daily, 30-minute program on “ESPN Deportes” and is geared toward businesses that offer important professional services to the Hispanic community. This is an interview-style program that not only highlights a business but builds a strong community-service image as well.

“Las Viejas”
“Radio Lobo’s” format is contemporary “Top 40” Mexican Regional hits but each weekday evening, veteran Lobo personality Victor- Victor reaches back for an hour’s programming of “oldies.” Capping off PM drive time, “Las Viejas” grows in popularity and offer sponsors a stand-out venue on our leading station.

Traffic Reports
“Concierto 92.1” listeners are working professionals, educated and on-the-go, so this 3-times-each morning traffic report for the rapidly growing Bakersfield area works well on this FM station.

“Duelo de Artistas” Mini-Concert
This late afternoon program on “Concierto 92.1” showcases two popular vocal artists, constructed as a friendly duel. Featuring the artists’ latest hits, the show creates a dynamic edge apart from standard format presentations.

“Buy and Sell” Programs
Both KWAC and KCHJ host very popular, daily “over the air marketplace” programs. KWAC’s “Mercado del Aire” is a 90-minute morning show is a 25-year veteran. It remains one of the station’s highest rated features. KCHJ’s program, “Remate 1010,” runs afternoons for an hour.

L. A. Lakers Basketball Games
The NBA team of choice in our area, among Hispanics and Anglos alike, is the Los Angles Lakers. Always exciting, sometimes controversial, Laker games on “ESPN Deportes” provide a sure-fire, high-energy vehicle to promote a business seeking to penetrate the male Hispanic market. A range of sponsorship levels are available.

Las Chivas Soccer Matches
Recruiting only Mexican nationals, “Las Chivas” is the most popular professional soccer team in Mexico and claims a host of local loyal, passionate fans. “ESPN Deportes” covers soccer more than any other Spanish station here and Chivas games are popular anchors to its programming. Various sponsor packages are available.
